Jesus Christ is our hope.  We acknowledge this is the following litany.
Your response is “Jesus is our hope”.
 
Litany of Hope
 
For a new heart and a new spirit, Jesus is our hope.
For the building up of a peaceful world, Jesus is our hope.
For victory over evil, Jesus is our hope.
For protection from destruction, Jesus is our hope.
For abundant blessings in time of need, Jesus is our hope.
For the salvation of the just, Jesus is our hope.
 
For the restoration of loving family, Jesus is our hope.
For right judgment on the day of our death, Jesus is our hope.
For overcoming the obstacles to faith, Jesus is our hope.
For receiving the gift of enduring love, Jesus is our hope.
For the boldness and courage to live in the light, Jesus is our hope.
For the fulfillment of the promise of heaven, Jesus is our hope.
 
For the freedom from the prison of sin, Jesus is our hope.
For the outpouring upon us of divine grace, Jesus is our hope.
For the coming of the Kingdom that lasts forever, Jesus is our hope.
For the power to save our soul from death, Jesus is our hope.
For the coming of a new age where God rules, Jesus is our hope.
For participation in resurrection to new life, Jesus is our hope.
 
For rejoicing forever in the glory of God, Jesus is our hope.
For the gift of redemption won by his cross, Jesus is our hope.
For the help that lifts us up when we fall, Jesus is our hope.
For the forgiveness of faults and the healing of wounds, Jesus is our hope.
For encouragement during difficult times, Jesus is our hope.
For comfort in our suffering, Jesus is our hope.
 
For strength during times of temptation, Jesus is our hope.
For the opportunity to draw near to God, Jesus is our hope.
For deliverance from oppression and misery, Jesus is our hope.
For a good life and a good death, Jesus is our hope.
For the things necessary to find our way, Jesus is our hope.
For the patience to wait for God, Jesus is our hope.
 
For perseverance during times of persecution, Jesus is our hope.
For the power of the Holy Spirit to be at work in our community, Jesus is our hope.
For the defeat of all hostile forces, Jesus is our hope.
For the confidence of knowing where we are going, Jesus is our hope.
For insight and learning that enlightens our minds, Jesus is our hope.
For the readiness to give an account of our faith, Jesus is our hope.
 
For purity of heart and clarity of thought, Jesus is our hope.
For meaning and purpose in the living of life, Jesus is our hope.
For the willingness to accept God’s plan every day, Jesus is our hope.
 
Today’s prayer:  “O Lord, in and through Your Son, Jesus Christ, possibilities for a divinely determined future are boundless.  Help us to always hold tightly to the faith You have given us.  Let us never forget:  where there is life, there is hope.  Amen!”
